MISSION STATEMENT

Growing concerns about the need for higher student achievement in mathematics has prompted MIND Research Institute, a non-profit organization, to develop programs that draw upon decades of research about how children learn math. Founded by physicists, engineers, neuroscientists and educators, MIND has created programs used by more than 50,000 students in schools across the nation. The Advisory Council will discuss trends in mathematics education research and practice, guide the development of needed education tools to support improved student achievement, and advise MIND on issues related to equal access to knowledge and skills in mathematics.
